Introduction of SfM (Structure from Motion) Technology and iTwin Capture

It is now possible to create 3D photogrammetric models from a series of photos and video data.

This will be used for various measurements and image-based diagnostics (such as damage mapping).

Previously, measurements were taken by directly touching objects with scales and other tools, which sometimes led to missed measurements or misreadings.

By utilizing SfM technology, only reference measurements and photography are conducted on-site, while actual dimension measurements are performed using CAD and other desktop operations. In particular, using this technology enables accurate results for measurements of complex shapes.
